DRESS CODE
All grades must adhere to the same dress code, a black leotard with pink tights. Pink ballet shoes and black tap shoes are also required. Hair should be secured off the neck.
GENERAL INFORMATION
It is our purpose to maintain the highest standards of dance training for students of all ages and levels. The curriculum includes beginning to advance training in classical ballet, tap, jazz, pointe, tumbling, our junior performance team “Straight Up”, and our advanced performance company the “Elite Dance Company”. Our classes are conducted and disciplined in a manner keenly associated with proper dance education. We do demand respect and proper behaviors at all times and reserve the right to dismiss any student who upsets the harmony of the school.
RECITAL
Kennedy School of Dance will present its annual spring recital in May. This production is the culmination of a year of instruction and practice which gives the young dancer an experience of performing before an audience. Costumes for the spring recital will be ordered in January at a minimum price of $40.00 per costume.
REGISTRATION
Our dance term runs September through May, registration for each new term is always the first two weeks of May. To register for an upcoming term, students are required to come to the studio and fill out a registration card in person during this time, studio hours are Monday – Thursday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Registration materials will be mailed in August, classes will begin after Labor Day in September. To inquire about any class openings during other times of our term, please contact us via email.
REGISTRATION FEE
A $30.00 registration fee is due with registration. The registration fee is only charged one time per family each year and is non-refundable.
