Straight Up Junior and Senior Dance Teams

Straight Up is the junior and senior dance teams representing Kennedy School of Dance.  Dancers range in age from 4th-8th grade have the opportunity to perform at local area performances and competitions.  Students are selected from teacher recommendation each fall.  Straight Up team rehearsals begin each year in November and run through May.

 

Elite Dance Company

This company was started at Kennedy School of Dance in 2002 to allow a select group of exceptional dancers the opportunity to rehearse, perform, and compete at a pre-professional, advanced level. The dancers selected to join this company have proven themselves to be top performers and have demonstrated outstanding skills in class instruction and technique. Team members consist of high school age dancers from across the Treasury Valley where they compete and perform at numerous events and competitions throughout the year. Each year several dancers from the Elite Dance Company have gone on to dance and perform in colleges across the country and many have become dance instructors, choreographers, and professional dancers.

 

All team members are required to be enrolled in one weekly, 
high school level class and the advanced ballet/jazz technique class. 
Team members are selected by instructor referral only.
